An-Nisaa (4) Ayat (verse) No.: 4

And give unto the women (on marriage) their dower (Mahr), ( whom ye marry ) free gift of their marriage portions ; but if they of their own accord remit unto you a part thereof , then ye are welcome to absorb it ( in your wealth ) .

An-Nisaa (4) Ayat (verse) No.: 24

Also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess: Thus hath Allah ordained (Prohibitions) against you: Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with Mahr (dower, a bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

Al-Baqara (2) Ayat (verse) No.: 236

'…the wealthy according to his means, and the straitened in circumstances according to his means. The gift of a reasonable amount is necessary from those who wish to act in the right way.'

'Women are lawful to you….provided that you take them in marriage and not fornication. As to those through whom you profit (through marriage), give them their faridah as appointed.' (Al Quran)

Al-Maidah (5) Ayat (verse) No.: 5
The same applied when marrying Jewish or Christian women (5:5). If a Muslim man married someone 'whom his right hand possessed' (ie a slave or prisoner of war), the mahr was to grant her freedom and other payment was not required.

Hadeeson par nazar dalte hain

In the first era of Islam marriage was a simple affair, without pomp or ceremony. Any expenditure incurred in its performance was quite minimal, and not a burden on either family. Indeed, the Prophet stated: 'the most blessed marriage is one in which the marriage partners place the least burden on each other.' (al-Haythami, Kitab ab-Nikah, 4:255).

The Prophet gave each of his wives a payment of mahr, ranging from token sums, the granting of freedom from slavery when being made a wife, to the payment of 400-500 dirhams. His wife Umm Habibah's mahr consisted of 4000 dirhams, this sum having been fixed by Najashi, the Negus (a Christian ruler) of Abyssinia. (Abu Dawud, Kitab an-Nikah, 2:235).

In a famous case, the second Caliph, Umar b. al-Khattab, once gave a public sermon in which he asked the congregation to refrain from fixing heavy mahrs, and stated that the Prophet had declared no-one should give more than 400 dirhams. A woman immediately stood up and challenged him, quoting the verse 4:20 from the Qur'an:'But if you decide to take a wife in place of another, even if you had given the first a heap of gold (quintar) for a dowry, you shall not take the least bit back.' Umar went back to the minbar and withdrew his words stating 'the woman is right, and Umar is wrong. Whoever wishes may give as much property as he wishes to give.' (Ibn Hajar al-Athqalani, Fath al-Bari, 9:167).

In tamaam Qurani aayat aur ahadees se wazeh hota hai k shadi ek sadgi ka naam hai shadi se muashra sudharta hai do khandan aabad hote hain nayi nasl ki shuruat hoti hai aur aisi koi aayat nahi na hi hadees hai jisme hai k ladki ko dahej dena chahiye sare dalail cheekh cheekh kar keh rahe hain ki ladke ko mahr dena chahiye Allah k farman bhi Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam ka qaul bhi aur sahaba ikram ki jamat bhi

Ham kahan hain kya sach me ham musalman hain kya sach me ham islam ko manne wale hain har mamle me hamne islam ki taleemat ko chor rakha hai

Ab aayiye us baat ki taraf jo ye jhoota dawa karte hain aur isse hi samaj me bigad phaila dahej ka…. Wo ye k Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam ne Hazrat Fatima r.a ko dahej diya, ye Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam par tohmat hai aur isko darr na chahiye Allah se uske azaab se aur loog jo is wahem me mubtila hain unko tahqeeq karna chahiye adhi taqleed gumrahi hai,
is haqeeqat par nazar dalte hain

Hadees is tarah se hai
Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam k paas Abu Bakar siddiqe r.a, Umar farooq r.a, Usman gani r.a aate hain aur Ali r.a k nikah k bare me baat rakhte hain aur Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam puchte hain kya Ali razi hain to kehte hain haan wo razi hain to phir baat tai huyi jab Hazrat Ali r.a samne aaye to Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam ne pucha Ali apke paas Fatima ko dene maher me kya hai to Ali r.a kehte hain Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam main to bachpan se apke paas raha hun mere paas to kuch bhi nahi haan jung e badar me ye zira mujhe mili thi ek talwar aur dhal to Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam kaha talwar aur dhal to kaam aayegi isko rakhlo aur ye zira bech kar iski keemat leke aau yehi apka maher hoga aur ussi se apka Nikah hoga, phir Ali r.a gaye bechne Usman r.a k paas wo us zira ko khareed liye 400 dinar me phir unse kaha kya ab main is zira ko kise bhi dedun Ali r.a ne kaha ab ye apka hai aap jo chahen Karen to Usman r.a ne Ali ko hi wo tohfeh me dedi phir Ali r.a Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam jakar sab bayan kiye phir Aapne unse wo paise lekar unka maher tai kiya aur ussi paison se do chakhiyan lin, ek chatai li, aur ek sahabi k makan me apka intezam kiya aur kuch khane pakane ki cheezon ko bhi Apne kharid kar diya wo isliye k Ali r.a shuru se hi Allah ki Rasul sallellahualayhi wasallam k paas rehte the to unke paas koi saman nahi tha to inhi ki zira bech kar inhe k paison me se liya gaya hai….subhan Allah

Kaza Namaz parhne ka asan tareeqa

Assalam-0-alaiqum,

Iman laane k baad islam ka doosra eham rukun namaz hai, Qayamat k din bhi pehla sawaal namaz ka hi hoga hum ko chahiye k hum apni namaz jitni hum per kaza hain jald se jald ada kar len zindagi ka kya bharosa Abhi hai agle lamhe nahi

Waise To afzal aur aula yehi hai k tamam namazon ko poore tareeqe se parh len per humare nafs per yeh mushkil lage ga is liye kam waqt mei zada se zada namaz ada karne k liye Ulema Hazraat ne Namazon mei takhfeef ki ijazat di hai taa'ke hum apni zindagi ki namazen jo apni kotaahi ya sharayi majboori k bina ada na kar paye the.

Pehle to hum ko apni kotahi per toba karni chahiye k hum ne kitni namazen nahi parhi ya kaza kardein dil mei pakka irada karen k Ainda inshallah koi namaz kaza na hogiii aur puraani bhi inshallah poori ada karen ge, hum ko pehle hisaab lagaana hoga humaare zimme kitni namazen baaqi hain, is k liye ghalib gumaan karna hoga k 12 saal ki umer se aajtak kitne saal hue, phir un mei se kitne saal ki namazen ada nahi kien aik sal do sal jab ghalib gumaan hojaye k han k buhat se buhat itni to namazenn hongi is se kam ho sakti hain zada nahi to phir aahista aahista ada karna shuru karen

hum per Aik din ki 20 rakaten banen gi 2 farz fajar, 4 farz zuhar, 4 farz asar, 3 farz maghrib, 4 farz isha aur 3 witr.

aik baar hisaab laga liya k kitni namazen humaare zimme baaqi hain phir jaise sahoolat ho ada kar leni chahiye per aik baat ka khayal rakhna chahiye k kissi k saamne kaza namaz ada na karen, Namaz-e-Asar aur namaz-e-Fajr parhne k baad koi nawafil ada nahi kiye jaa sakte to ager aap sab k saamne ada karoge to her koi samajh jaye ga k aap kaza namaz parh rahe ho

Neeyat is tarah karen k Mai khaas Allah taa'le k liye apne zimme sab se pehli(Yaa sab se aakhri) namaz-e-Fajer ki do rakat farz ki neeyat karta hoon. Aap chahen to aik namaz ko poora karlen pehle jaise saari fajer kiii yaa aik aik din ki poori poori jis tarah sahoolat ho aap ko takbeer k baad Sana na parhen, Auzubillah, bismillah chhor den aur direct Surah Fatiha parhen phir us k baad koi bhi soorat milayen phir ruku aur sajda ki tasbeeh 3 bar k bajaye sirf aik bar parhen faraaiz ki teesri aur chauthi rakat mei surah fatiha ki jaga sirf teen bar SubhanAllah SubhanAllah SubhanAllah parh k ruku mei chalen jayen, akhri rakat mei Attahiyaat parhne k baad itna parhen "Allahumma Salle ala muhammadin" itna keh k salaam pher den Durood-e-Ibrahimi aur Dua chhor den.

Witr ki teesri rakat mei Alhumd shareef k baad surat milayen aur phir Dua-e-Qunoot ki jaga Sirf teen bar keh den Allahummaghfirli ya Rabbighfirliii yaa Rabbana Aa'tina fiddunia hasana ............azaabannaaaar phir baaqi namaz bataye gaye tareeqe se parh lein

is tarah hum jaldi jaldi apne zimme tamam kaza namazen ada kar saken ge, mera to aap sab logon ko mashwara yeh hai k aap log jaisa k jaante hain k Ramadan mei nafil ka sawaab farz jitna aur farz ka 70 farz k baraber to kyun na Ramadan mei nafil parhne k bajaaye hum apni kaza namazen ada karen aur zada se zada sawaab k saath saath apni namazen bhi poori karlen

After faith, Namaz is the next pillar of Islam. About it will be asked about first thing on the day of Qayamat, so pray namaz and also do the ones that you have missed for you do not know how long your life is in this world. We should seek pardon from the Namaz that we have missed, promise to pray namaz on time.. We should find out the namaz we have missed and try to complete the ones missed in the lifetime after reaching puberty (approx after12 years old)

For everyday 20 rakaaten 2 farz fajar, 4 farz zuhar, 4 farz asar, 3 farz maghrib, 4 farz isha aur 3 witr.

Most Desirable is to pray as appropriate as we normally do but in order to perform maximum prayers at the earliest Ulema has allowed the shortened method to offer prayers. After Namaz-e-Asar aur namaz-e-Fajr no nawafil can be read so if we offer kaza prayers after fajr and asr prayers and ppl will easily understand we r offering kaza prayers which is not right as revealing sin of not offering prayers at its time consequently offering kaza will be sin as well, if one wants to perform kaza prayers do it secretly. Here is the shortened method of prayer

Make intention of prayers as the first/last prayers remaining kaza on me then u may leave thana, Auzubillah & bismillah directly goto Surah Fatiha then any soorat only read once the tasbeeh of ruku and sajda instead of 3 time.

In 3rd & 4th rakat instead of surah fatiha, just read thrice SubhanAllah SubhanAllah SubhanAllah then ruku.
In last rakaat after Attahiyaat read "Allahumma Salle ala muhammadin" then do salaam. Leave Durood-e-Ibrahimi and Dua.

In the 3rd rakat of Witr read Alhumd shareef followed by any surat and then read 3 times Allahummaghfirli ya Rabbighfirliii yaa Rabbana Aa'tina fiddunia hasana ............azaabannaaaar instead of Dua-e-Qunoot then read rest of namaz in the method as described earlier

I suggest you ppl to offer your Kaza prayers in Ramadan instead of the nafil as reward of farz will be 70 times more. plz dont hesitate to contact if you have any questions

Jin-naat Ki Pehchan

Jinnat aur Insaan

Jin wo wahid makhlooq hey jis ney insaan ko sajda karney sey inkaar kya tha.Phir isey mohlat di gai k apna behtar hona sabit karey.Qayamat tak isey waqt dya gaya.Aur insaan ki tarah isey bhi dunya maiN aana para.
Quran o hadees sey sabit hey k shetan (Jin) shar phelata hey.Lekin iss k tariqa e wardaat sey agha rehna ziada tar zaroori nahi samjha jata.

Bey had zaroori hey k hum apney azli dushman ko pehchan laiN.......Apni rooh ki pehchan oss waqat tak mumkin nahi jab tak apney wahid dushman k barey maiN maloom na ho.
Shetan ek jin hey magar ye male hey ya female?
Shetan borai phela raha hey aur hadees k mutabiq jab tak Allah Allah karney wala ek bhi shakhs dunya maiN hey qayamat nahi aiey gi...to kya shetan khud neki ko mita kar qayamat ko qareeb la raha hey?
Sab sey pehla marhala shetan ko pehchanney ka ye hey k wo kis waqt hamarey jism maiN male/female ki soorat maiN aata hey......!(Hamara jism shetan k liey ek ghar ki tarah hey aur iss maiN rehney waley shetan ko hum pehchan saktey heN.Jab ye 4 kaam right hand sey hoN to jismmaiN mojod jin "Female" hey:

-Taharat yani astanja etc
-Naak saaf karna
-PaoN dhona aur khilal
-Joota othana
Aur jab yehi 4 kaam left hand sey hoN to jism maiN mojod shetan male hey.
Hamarey jismmaiN rehney wala shetan hamari marzi ka bhi ho sakta hey........yani male aur female ki pehchan k baad jisey aap ka zehan ijazat dey wo jism maiN mojod rahey ga....jab tak hamari ijazat ho gi.

Journey to the Unseen World(Rooh Ka Safar)

Journey to the Unseen World

"Rooh Ka Safar" BY N. Quchani, Tabligh Committee, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

(The events after death have been described and will prove to be an incentive towards preparing ourselves for the Hereafter)

When I died, I saw myself standing, relieved of my illness, feeling fit and healthy; I saw my relatives mourning around my corpse. I was saddened by their crying and told them that I was cured and not dead; but nobody heard me.

My body was bathed and shrouded. I even joined the funeral procession, in which I saw many wild animals which frightened me. But the other people didn't even notice these beasts.

My body was lowered head-first into the grave. Just at that moment many animals emerged and started attacking my body. My fear knew no bounds but the other people behaved as if they did not even see them! My cries for help fell on deaf ears!

Suddenly some people entered the grave and shooed away the animals. I thanked them. They told me that they were my "Good Deeds", while the beasts were my "Evil Deeds".

The grave was closed over my dead body and all my friends and relatives deserted me in my lonely confinement. I was afraid and bewildered. Suddenly the grave trembled and split open.
Two huge Angels with fearful faces entered. Smoke and fire bellowed from their mouths and nostrils. They were holding red hot iron rods in their hands. Suddenly in a thundering voice, they asked me: "Who is your Lord?" In my extreme fear I could not speak and beseeched Allah for help.

My silence angered them and they repeated their question. My fear left me and I replied by reciting the ayats of Sura-e-Hashr (Verse 22, 23). Next they asked me, "Who is your Prophet? Which is your Book? (Kitaab), Direction of Worship (Qibla)". My answers seemed to satisfy them.

They then asked me "What is the source of these answers?" I again became confused. Would the arguments I learned in the dark, ignorant and material world hold true in this enlightened, illuminated place ?
I again beseeched Allah. Suddenly the answer was revealed to me. I was guided by Allah. I replied. They said "Then sleep like a newly-wed" and left me. I felt the fear leave me and I slept peacefully.

When I woke up, I found myself in a pleasant room with a handsome youth. After greeting each other with respect, he told me "My name is Haadi (Guide). I guided you to your last answers. Had you answered wrongly your grave would have been filled with fire from Hell."

I asked him "Tell me how do you know me so well, without having met me? " He replied "I am the relationship of love and friendship which you had with the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) and his Ahle-Bayt. I have been with you always, but you never sensed my presence since in the material world your sight lacked the power to perceive me." After some discussions, he left me. I soon went to sleep.

On awakening, I saw two men sitting on my either side, one handsome and the other ugly. They kept sniffing my body from head to toe, whispered to each other, and then filled up certain boxes and sealed them. I realized that my deeds were being judged and recorded. On completing their task, they tied some sheets round my neck and kept the boxes beside my head.

Next they put me inside an iron cage, which was made smaller by twisting a lever. I was terrified and couldn't breathe. I heard my bones cracking and oil oozed out of my body which they mopped up. I soon fainted and became unaware of what was going on.

When I regained consciousness, I found my head on Haadi's lap. I started crying in a weak voice. He consoled me and then said, "Everyone has to face this in the initial stage in the grave. It is due to one's own past deeds." After making things comfortable, he left me. My body appeared to have been purged of all debasements and become pure and clean. I now understood that the constriction had actually been an act of purifying, so that if a man possessed evil traits these debasements would, as a result of the constriction, be squeezed out of him like the black oil which I had seen.

On Thursday night, I visited my house in the form of a dove. I saw my family and friends were reciting Quran, listening to religious lectures and then eating good food. I was saddened as all this was being done for tradition's sake. No needy or deserving person was invited. Of what good was such food to me?

When I returned to the grave, I saw Haadi with a tray of sweet ripe apples. "Where have these come from?" I asked. "Somebody sincerely recited Sura-e--Fateha near your grave, and Allah has rewarded you",

It was time to move ahead and picking up my bag of Deeds, I started walking along the path that Haadi had shown me. After covering some distance, I began feeling a bit tired and thirsty.

At this point, an ugly person, "Abu Lahaw" joined me. He told me, "They call me "Ignorance." My title is "Waywardness". My family name is "Abu Lahaw" (Father of playfulness and wasting time). My aim is to create mischief, mislead people and cause them to go astray."

He tempted me into a "short cut" and I left the main road. This proved to be more difficult, full of ditches, dirt and thorns with many snakes and scorpions. The unbearable heat made me very thirsty, but my companion laughed and seemed to enjoy my plight.

On an open ground, we saw some watermelons which he ate with relish and also offered me some. "It is somebody's property and hence it's not right to eat this without permission." He tempted me again saying, "Don't be so pious. The Qur'an says, "Whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring nor exceeding the limits…." I fell into his trap again and bit into the fruit. To my horror, it was so bitter that my mouth and throat hurt." Watermelons of Satan and Ignorance!" I thought.

Suddenly we were attacked by a dog and a guard of the land. I was beaten viciously for being on the property without permission. By the time I reached the true road, I was in a bad state. Abu Lahaw, who had escaped the beating, was laughing and enjoyed seeing me crying and calling out to Haadi for help. "The seeds of these sorrows were laid by yourself on the earth." he shouted.

After sometime, I reached an open airy and bright city. I requested the guard to rid me of Abu Lahaw. He replied, "Abu Lahaw is inseparable just like your shadow! But he cannot enter the City of Light. Though, when you resume tomorrow, he'll be beside you again."

I spent the night in this place. It was beautiful and here I met some old acquaintances. We were happy here with the best of people, food and service. We were thankful to Allah that for our small deeds on the earth, He had richly rewarded us.

The next day, I moved on. At a bisection, to my dismay, I saw Abu Lahaw approaching me like a black smoke. The Duty-officer saw this and said, "Abu Lahaw is the face of your own bad traits, like injustice, pride, desire, anger etc. etc. If you did not desist from them on earth, how can you separate them from yourselves now?"

I moved on with Abu Lahaw by my side. We soon reached a mountain, which had a deep moat on one side. Abu Lahaw tempted me to climb this. I accepted and to my great surprise, it proved to be very difficult and dangerous. Several times, I slipped and hurt myself almost falling into the moat. Abu Lahaw laughed and said, "He who is proud in this world, Allah will break his back, and he who tries to be higher than others, Allah will rub his nose in dust. You have read all this (in the Qur'an), but never acted on it!"

After some time I reached a garden with a pond around which some people were sitting and eating fruits. They greeted me and invited me, "We had been fasting at the time of our death; Since you had played host to people who were fasting, you can also have these fruits. As for Abu Lahaw, your defense weapon against him is the control which you had exercised in your life over your desires."

The next part of the journey was easy going. There were fruit laden trees on both sides of the road and a river flowed alongside it. It was as if we were beholding the beauty of God.

I reached the next station without feeling tired. A separate silver and gold bricked palace reserved for me to stay in. The servants were handsome and well-mannered and took care of every comfort for me.

At nightfall, the palace became illuminated. I realized at once, that this light was of the tree of Muhammad (S.A.W.) and his progeny and this city, was for those who had love for them. I thanked Allah for His Grace and Bounty and to Muhammad (S.A.W.) and his progeny for having guided us towards the straight path.

The next morning, I headed for the next station. Again the path was easy and beautiful with lush green trees, cool water in the lakes and a pleasant breeze.

Once out of the city, the path became narrow and rocky. Suddenly, Abu Lahaw appeared by my side and tried to tempt me into taking another "short cut", but I kept to the same road, having no trust for him and having already suffered at his hands before.
In a short while we reached the good road again and were soon at the next station. Haadi met me at the gate. We greeted and embraced. He said, "Don't consider yourself to be safe from Abu Lahaw as yet. He has powerful weapons of deception and I can only warn and alert you against Abu Lahaw's deceptions, so be very careful that you don't fall into traps now. As today is Friday, go and visit your family, and see if they have done any good deeds on your behalf."

I visited my home again. What I saw saddened me. My family was going through difficult times without anyone caring for their welfare. I prayed "O Most Merciful, have pity on my family and myself, because you are the Lord of all." I then noticed that my family were also praying for me and weeping remembering the good times they had in my lifetime.

When I returned, I found a strong horse besides Haadi. "Your family prayed for you and Allah's blessings has come to you in this form. You'll need this horse for your next journey," he said, "Moreover, your prayer for your family has been granted and henceforth, they will live in comfort and well-being."

I returned to my room and was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful maiden there. Her eyes were bright and her shining face seemed to illuminate the whole room. "This maiden has been wed to you and especially sent here for tonight from the valley of Peace." Haadi announced and left us.

The next morning with a stick and sword, I mounted the horse and rode away. The ground was sandy and slippery. I saw monkey-like creatures who, I realised were actually humans for they had no tails nor hair and walked on two legs. Pus and blood emitted from their private parts accompanied by a bad stink. "This is the land of Lust and Desire," Haadi said, "These people were *****erers. Beware you don't deviate from the straight path, or it might spell the end of you."

Next, I saw people resembling animals hanging from posts and their private parts had been nailed to the posts with big iron nails. Some were also being whipped and were screaming in pain. Haadi informed me that these people used to indulge in various forbidden ***ual pleasures.

Suddenly, Abu Lahaw appeared and tried to lure me into the adjoining path. I resolutely followed Haadi's advice and stuck to the straight path because salvation lies only in following the straight path.

Riding on, I experienced the earth shaking, the winds raging and the sky darkening. A hail storm of stones was falling. All around me I saw people who had followed their Abu Lahaw's advice sinking into the mire or being crushed by the falling huge stones. "These people were homo***uals." Haadi cried. "Now get out fast from here, or otherwise you might be subjected to the same punishment!"

We travelled only a couple of miles more to find ourselves out of the place. I thanked Allah and went on with the journey.

Suddenly the accursed Abu Lahaw arrived. My horse shied at his sight and threw me down. I was badly hurt. Haadi arrived and helped me mount again. I bitterly complained, "whenever you leave, Abu Lahaw arrives to cause trouble." He replied, "No, I always leave when Abu Lahaw arrives, but this is also due to your misdeeds on earth".

Ahead of us was another Land of Desire. Here were people who used to be heavy eaters. Those who used to overeat their food obtained by lawful means, had faces like donkeys and cows. Those who had obtained their food by unlawful means had faces of pigs and bears with huge bellies and thin legs! They were being severely punished. It was as if their bellies were full of fire.

We quickly moved on and soon reached a rest house in a barren and deserted area. Some other travelers were also there, eating from their bags. As my limbs were still painful, Haadi applied some ointment and instantly the pain vanished! "Haadi, what medicine is this?" I inquired. "This is the praises and thanks to Allah you used to give for any gift you were blessed with!

The next day, Haadi warned me that I would now witness punishments due to the sins of the tongue and advised me to take along water and shield. "Your fasts on the earth is the shield which will now protect you from Hell fire." On the way we saw various animals fighting with each other viciously, some even eating the flesh of the dead bodies. They were extremely thirsty and flames emerged from their mouth and ears. These are the back-biters and their audience, liars, fault finders and those who laughed and made fun of the faithful."

We then came near a garden with fruit trees. Suddenly I realized that they were burning! "What is happening here?" I asked. "This is the garden made by the faithful from the praise and remembrance of Allah. But when these faithful lied, or indulged in back-biting or insulting, this garden went up in flames. That is their sins caused the reward of their good deeds to go to waste".

On Friday night, I went to my home again as a bird. My children had gathered under the fruit tree I was sitting on. "Our father planted this fruit tree and we are enjoying its fruits. May Allah bless him." One recalled and then they recited Sura-e--Dukhan and Sura-e-Dahr Their prayers made me happy and I also prayed for them and then returned to my current abode.

When I returned, my horse was ready. Haadi presented me two gifts as the two Suras recited by my children are connected to them. "At the time of need these two gifts will open by themselves." Haadi told me.

After some time, we reached the land of Greed and Avarice. There we saw people with faces like dogs fighting among themselves. Some were eating dead bodies and fire was coming out from their behinds. Haadi informed me, "These people used to take bribes and embezzle or steal wealth belonging to orphans."

Next we entered the Land of Jealousy. I saw robot like giants approaching us. Suddenly Abu Lahaw appeared. My horse shied away at his sight, throwing me down. Abu Lahaw screamed with laughter, "O fool! Name me one learned man who has been free from jealousy. You'll never get out from this trap of mine!"

I was angry and started fighting him but he was stronger and was overpowering me.
Immediately the robot like creatures turned around and retreated. Abu Lahaw too tried to run away but was crushed under the wheels of a giant roller. This was my last encounter with him!

Getting up, Haadi and I started walking away quickly. "Haadi, it seems Abu Lahaw is dead". I said. "No," Haadi replied, "Abu Lahaw never dies. But he will not approach you now as we are quite far from the Valley of Barhoot. Ahead, people are being punished for Pride and Arrogance but since you rid yourself of these traits in your lifetime, you will not be troubled."

It got pleasant as we went ahead, with cool breeze, mountains, greenery and waterfalls. Numerous tents soon became visible. "This is the city of 'Huma', Haadi told me. It is the valley of Right and Sacred Land and you'll stay here a few days."

Some attendants appeared and Haadi instructed me to go with them, "Go to your tent with them. You'll find friends there".

On entering, a beautiful maiden greeted me. We sat down and were served by a handsome lad. She spoke to me about religious issues. The depth of her knowledge impressed me.
Then we went for a walk in the woods. As I would approach a tree, its fruit laden branch would bend down towards me. The fruits were sweet and fresh and did not decrease regardless of how many I ate. Melodious voices rang out from the trees inviting me to eat whatever I liked.

On returning to the tent, I was greeted by Haadi, ready for the onward journey. We departed, accompanied by friends and some angels. Soon we approached a hill overcast with dark clouds and sparks emitting from it. We could hear thunder in the distance. The angels immediately burst out, "There is no course of circumstances and no power except Allah's!"

Difference between men and women prayers

There are some differences between how women and men's way of performing Salat.

1) Men raise there hands all the way to the ear for Takbeer while women raise their hands only up to their shoulders.
2) In Qayam (the standing posture) Men place their hands below Navel while women place their hands on their chest.
3) Men grasp their wrist while women do not. They only place right hand on the top of left with fingers intact together.
4 ) In Ruku (the bowing posture) Men's back is horizontal while women suppose to bend their back only far enough to touch their knees. Looking from far it will look like a bow arc. They won't flatten their back.
5 ) In Sajdah men's back portion is raised from ground and hands apart from body and fingers of feet twisted while women suppose to be gathered in a way so that all their body parts are close together and abdomen placed over her thighs. Both feet and ankles sticking out to the right. Lower portion of back touching the ground.
6 ) During Jalsa and Qaida (sitting between Sajdah and during Attahyat) men sit on their left ankle and their right foot's fingers are twisted while women sit on floor and their both ankles and feet sticking out towards right hand side.

These are the only differences between a Man's Salat and a Woman's Salat.

The reason why women are told to pray differently can be seen through 2 things:

1. Their physical appearance is different to men
2. Commandment concerning praying in hadith

From ahadith we see.....

It is stated that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) passed by two women who were performing Salaat. He said: "When you make sajdah, attach your body to the ground. Indeed women are not like men in this matter." (i.e. they differ in the posture of sajdah). (Maraasil of Imaam Abu Dawood (R.A))

It is debated in the different madhabs exactly what is meant by "When you make sajdah, attach your body to the ground. Indeed women are not like men in this matter." Different opinions do exist pertaining the matter, following one or the other is not sinful since they are opinions of the scholars:
Opinions concerning "When you make sajdah, attach your body to the ground. Indeed women are not like men in this matter."

- the arms are to be lowered but the forearms not placed on the ground

- the forearms must touch the ground

However it is very important to note that ALL madhabs are in agreement regarding the fact that the body of the woman must be as close to the ground as possible, unlike men who take a more 'elevated' status with their forearms lifted high and their backsides lifted high as well.

For women it is important to 'conceal' as much while doing salah...it is the same reason why women DO NOT place their hands on the navel while standing but on their chest and also the same reason why women do not raise their backside while doing sajdah but rather keep it low....why?

Well try it and see what happens...if you will place your hand on your navel your bussom will become more apparent since the hind arms will push them forward. But if you place your hands on the bussom they will be concealed more...

Same with the backside being raised...it makes the woman more "apparent" and less concealed if she was to raise her backside while in sajdah, that is why the women are commanded to be lower down.

Here are some other hadith concerning the matter:

Hadhrat Abdullah bin Umar (Radhiallaahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "When a woman sits in Salaat, she should place the thighs (of one leg) upon the other and when she makes sajdah, she should attach her belly to her thigh so that it is as concealing as possible. For indeed Allah Ta'ala looks at her saying: 'O my angels I make you witness that I have indeed forgiven her'." (Baihaqi Vol.2 Pg.223)

and also

Waail bin Hujr (Radhiallaahu Anhu) says that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: "O Waail, when you commence the Salaat, lift your hands in line with your ears and women should (only) lift it in line with the chest (shoulders)." (Kanzul Umaal Vol.7 Pg.307)

So basically it is well known that the way of salah of women differes from men in the following aspects:

- Way they stand
- Way they do ruku
- way they sit
- way they do sajdah

And if you think about it as well - it makes perfect sense since the physical makeup of women is very different from men.

Further Ahadith pertaning the matter can be found as follows:

Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Holy Prophet said, 'When a woman sits in Sajdah by putting one thigh upon the other (i.e. close to one another) and at the time of Sajdah (prostration) her stomach touches her thighs and she also takes full consideration of Hijaab, then Allah Ta?la looks at her and says to the angels, 'Bear witness that I have forgiven her.' (Baihaqi, Kanzul Ummaal)

-----------------------------------------

Once the Holy Prophet saw two women offering Prayer and he said, 'When you (women) make Sajdah (prostrate) then let the limbs of your body touch one another and make them touch the ground.' Surely in this (prostration posture) women are not similar to men.' (Masaail Abu Dawood)

---------------------------------------

Wail ibn Hajar (may Allah be well pleased with him) said that the Holy Prophet taught him to offer Prayer and he said, 'O ibn Hajar! When you begin your Prayer then lift your hands up to your ears and show the women that they should lift up to their chests.' (Tabarrani)

-------------------------------------

Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) was once asked on how women used to offer Prayer during the time of the Holy Prophet . He replied, 'First they used to read Prayer cross-legged, then they were commanded to cling to themselves,' (Jaami al-Masanid).

OTHER IMPORTANT POINTS REGARDING DIFFERENCES IN PRAYERS:

1. Women are exempted from offering Prayer whilst in state of impurity (due to menses or childbirth).

2. Women should take extra care during "Wuzu and Tayammum" by moving ornaments (such as rings) in order not to leave the area below them - whereas nail polish should be totally removed.

3. If several persons are praying in the same room, women should pray behind the men. They should not stand in line with the men.

Insha'allah that will help us all understand why there is a difference in the way women pray to men.
